If you’ve been at Seven Mile Road for some time, you know that we take a portion of our service every week to confess our sins before God in silence. For some, it’s a time to deeply and honestly engage with God. For others, the awkward silence is, well, awkward.
So what is this time meant for? And why do we do it?
Psalms 32 gives us a beautiful picture of what confession is and why it is such an essential part of the Christian life. In this Psalm, David, by his own confession, let’s us peer into a dark time of his life when the confession off his lips brings about glorious blessing. This Psalm is offered to us as wise words from an experienced sinner who has been granted tremendous grace. Read through the Psalm and we’ll talk through it this week.
